Festival season is almost here and for some reason, (perhaps because we’re British), in the height of Summer we dress for all weather. Yet the festival look has caught on, and the straw hat, wellies and shorts combo has become a summer staple.
Bright Eyes and Pale Lips
This beauty mix of bright eyeshadow matched up with pale lips perhaps isn’t the obvious choice, but it’s one of our favourite beauty looks at the moment.
It seems that we’ve been waiting forever for this day to come, but (finally) Alice in Wonderland is out in cinemas today!
Tim Burton‘s 3D twist on the Lewis Carroll classic, which has been eagerly anticipated by fans, has also caused quite a stir on the high street. From powder blue tea dresses to mad accessories, Alice inspired fashion is everywhere this Spring/Summer and here’s our Models Own twist on the look with our Alice in Wonderland inspired make-up.

Get the Look by gently dusting the eyelid with Silver Pearl eyeshadow using a Blending Eyeshadow Brush. Then finish the look with Ballet Pink Lipgloss.
2010 is finally upon us, and with it, here come our predictions for the year ahead. Some are serious, some are a little bit out there, and some are just plain crazy!
1. Already seen on Victoria Beckham & Blake Lively this week, blue will be everywhere!
2. Flairs. Last year was all about the eighties – we think the seventies deserve a comeback!
3. Nautical stripes could be taken over by Dalmatian spots.
4. BIG backcombed Tina Turner-style hair.
5. We’ll all be reaching for flats over party heels.
6. Donna Karen set the trend for white eyeliner in her S/S10 show.
7. Tan leather bags will be hot this spring!
8. Dare we say it, Double Denim – we have seen some denim jackets out and about already!
9. We hear yellow will be a colour to watch out for (try our lemon meringue).
10. Clogs! (Somebody was buying all those Crocs…)

After all those fab Christmas parties over it’s now time to focus on
the biggest party of the year – New Year’s Eve!
Why not sparkle on the dance floor this New Year with our dazzling
loose powder eye shadows?
Using Models Own eyeshadow brush lightly dust a mixture of Copper
Loose Powder and Gold Sparkle Loose Powder over the eyelid, blend with
Espresso into the corner of the lid to define the eye. Finish with
some black eyeliner and mascara to frame the eye to get that perfect
golden look.
Use Grey and Silver Sparkle as a base coat over the whole eyelid.
Then blend Silver and Silver Sparkle on top and finish by blending
Graphite Grey lightly into the corner or the eye. Frame the eye with
black eyeliner to finish.

Taylor Swift has been doing amazingly well lately. At only 19 she has become a big name on the country music scene, winning herself bags of awards, including a whopping five American Music Awards last week – beating Michael Jackson’s record!
Get Taylor’s look with two loose purple eyeshadows. By using a blending brush, you can mix the colours together, re-creating Taylor’s Purple Haze.
